One of a kind beautiful opalescent plate with a stylized skirt of flowers blossoms and leaves and the center features a nude strong man fighting and being bit by a lion. This fine plate is fully marked on the back, in the glass. You can read the inscription that goes around the man reading: "1819 GRAND PRIX DE GRAVURE EN MEDAILLES", and under the fighter is "U.J. VATINELLE". This fine plate is 8 1/4" in diameter and is composed of thick, quality, French Sabino glass. It has it's original sticker and it's signed on the back. See photo no. 8. No imperfections noted.
